Everything created and published by Studio Miek is made with care, creativity and, occasionally, an unnecessary amount of fictional backstory.

This page explains the intellectual property rights and general licensing terms that apply to original work created and published by Studio Miek.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all original designs, illustrations, artwork, graphics, written content, fictional brands, fictional worlds, brand concepts and other original creative works created and published by Studio Miek are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

The copyright and other applicable intellectual property rights remain with Studio Miek.

This includes original work created as part of Studio Miek projects and fictional worlds, including Marewick and the fictional brands and creative works developed within it.

Purchasing, downloading, viewing or otherwise accessing Studio Miek content does not transfer ownership or copyright.

Product Licenses

Some Studio Miek products include a specific license that allows the purchaser to use the included assets for particular personal or commercial purposes.

Where a product-specific license is provided, that license determines how the product and its included assets may be used.

Purchasing a licensed product grants you permission to use it within the scope of that license. It does not transfer ownership of the original artwork, designs, brand concepts or other intellectual property.

Unless Explicitly Licensed, You May Not

resell or redistribute Studio Miek files or assets;
offer them as stock assets, templates or downloadable resources;
claim Studio Miek work as your own;
copy or reproduce Studio Miek work for commercial purposes;
register Studio Miek artwork, designs, fictional brands or other protected material as your own intellectual property;
sublicense Studio Miek assets to others; or
use Studio Miek work outside the permissions included with the relevant product.

Third-Party Materials

Some Studio Miek creations may incorporate fonts, software, platform features or other materials provided by third parties.

Those materials remain subject to the terms and licenses of their respective owners. Studio Miek does not transfer or grant rights to third-party materials beyond the rights Studio Miek is permitted to provide.

Where relevant, additional requirements or restrictions will be stated with the individual product.

Fictional Brands & Worlds

Studio Miek creates fictional brands, businesses, places and worlds for creative purposes.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, these are fictional creations. Any resemblance to existing businesses, organisations or places is coincidental.

The fact that a fictional brand or world is presented through realistic branding, websites, packaging, advertising or other materials does not make it a real business or organisation.

Permission may be granted separately where appropriate.
